Unit Name: Diarios de motocicleta
This unit is a thought provoking exploration into advanced grammar points coupled with complex cultural and humanistic ideals. Through the viewing of the film “Motorcycle Diaries” in Spanish, students will build upon their grammar and vocabulary skills, explore and identify the geographical, cultural, and social issues of 1950s South America and analyze the impact of these issues on the indigenous peoples of the continent. Students will participate in various collaborative, technology based projects along with many individual writing and speaking assessments. A final project of the students’ choice will be presented to the class.
